Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal domain extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level names remained working.

Through our company, you can secure your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special rules on who can obtain a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
